Eugenijus… We Drive 2015 !
Category:Events,Events 2015The organizers, guests and participants of the festival “Eugenijus … we drive! 2015” were convinced that this event is not only necessary, but also needful. It is the only event in Lithuania where equally is welcomed and respected a luxurious, unique exhibit of historical technical and Soviet Zhiguli still met on everyday streets. To some purpose, this antique vehicles festival was called shortly – season opening.
This year, on the 2nd of May, the auto-moto technical meeting was traditionally held for the seventh time in Pasvalys Sinkholes park. Despite the harsh weather, the festival organizers were surprised by the abundance of participants with antique vehicles. It was expected to receive only up to 100 working antique vehicle exhibits, since there were ready for the registration numbers and certificates. According to organizers estimates, the festival was attended by about 130 vintage vehicles, that after the registration completed, filled up the Sinkholes park.
Unfortunately, we have not seen the exceptional historical vehicles in the exhibition. There were only some attention worthy exhibits. In disappointment, this year event was dominated by the Soviet technique which incidentally does not have nor diversity nor exceptional beauty. True, eyes were flattered by unconventional sights – rolling exhibits from the films, duel of lawn-mowers, race of drandalietai (junk cars). There has also been possible to speak to Dakar Rally 2015 participant A. Juknevičius and to take photo at his car. In a word, there was no shortage of entertainment and everyone at this festival was able to find a suitable occupation or exciting time spending way.
The Antique Vehicle Club “Klasika” participated in the festival and presented to the audience nine historic cars.
