Christmas holidays and their expectations are related to one or another tradition. Christmas trees are decorated, greetings are sent, gifts are given, and other pleasant festive occasions are done.
As usual, from time immemorial, holidays and other important information are reminded to us by calendar numbers: over time, changing its form, and now maybe slightly less visible, but quickly found on your phone, computer or other household appliance. It’s a pity that we are decreasingly faced with the traditional form of calendar. One, that can be taken by hand, put on a writing table or hung on the wall. Perhaps, because of memories or nostalgia, the Antique Vehicle Club “Klasika” annually publishes a wall calendar. The first edition, which appeared in 2013, became a beautiful tradition which continues every year. As usual, this year’s club calendar carries out not only a direct informational purpose, but also promotes the antique technique and people around it. The quality of the publication is determined not only by the interesting artistic approach to the past, but also the presentation of historical images in the present. Photographers Ilona Daubaraite, Vilhelmantas Sereika and Silvija Pranauskė have already published their photos in the “Klasika” publications more than once. The calendar was decorated with interesting works by young artists Asta Pakalnytė-Ancikė, Vidmantas Pėželis, Viktorija Valentinavičiūtė and Vladislav Belyajev (Russia).
