Statistics of the “Timeless Classic 2022”

The traditional vintage cars festival “Timeless Classic” has been held in Biržai. So, on the 6th of August, on Saturday, the antique and classic cars gathered in the Sodeliškiai Manor. The event brought together 100 antique vehicles. Of these: 34 American cars, 30 Soviet vehicles and 36 vehicles manufactured in European countries. Participants of the event came from four countries: Norway, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.  At the event, a record number of enginery produced during the interwar period was repeated – the festival participants registered as many as 21.

  • The goal of the activity of the Antique Automobile Club Klasika is not only to preserve historic vehicles, but also to demonstrate and promote antique vehicles. One of the ways is press publications stimulating interest in historic cars and motorcycles. Every year, the Klasika club publishes a wall calendar with images of vintage motorcycles, cars, trucks and tractors in order to please antique lovers. The planned calendar of Klasika for 2023 will be the eleventh annual publication of the club, to the formation of which this year we are inviting to join the owners of antique vehicles, photo models and photographers.

Antique & Classic Car Festival „Timeless Classic 2021”

Despite the fact that vehicles are produced of metal, plastic, glass, rubber and similar materials that are traditionally considered extremely time-resistant, there are no „immortal” cars. Corrosion can completely eat up even a millimeter of steel a year, so seeing a car that may be called an old man or even an ancient one is always a small surprise.

At the antique car exhibition „Timeless Classic 2021” held in Biržai last weekend, one could see more than a hundred of such “WOW” vehicles. The improvised exposition of historical vehicles set up on the around Biržai Aeroclub had at least two classic trumps knocking down museums.

On August 1st 2020, the Antique Car Show Timeless Classic 2020 in Biržai was marked by the first appearance of the legendary car Leningrad, which won the Grand Prix of the event and the award for the most beautiful car to its owner Alexander Obymacha. On  August 22nd, this car and its owner triumphed at the antique car event Riga Retro 2020 winning the title of the most beautiful car.

Juris Gagainis – The Guest of Club ,,Klasika”

A stylish couple, dressed in World War II American aviation service uniforms in the military vehicle Willys MB, produced in 1943, attracted a lot of the attention in the Festival. There were Juris Gagainis, a professor of Latvian Art Academy of Design Faculty with his wife. The interview with guests revealed that the ancient technique club „Klasika” is well-known in Latvia too. The professor got interested in Biržai Festival by his colleagues who participated in the club events last year. Juris Gagainis really liked the atmosphere of celebration and honest, a lot of questioning, interested festival goers. About his military vehicle professor said that the U.S. handed a lot of such cars – war participants on the Soviet Union. But now there is not much left, although it was produced in thousands…
